The Pleasant Hill Community Clean-up Day was a complete success! We had over 50 community members, high schoolers, students, Sequoia families, SPA Board, and staff (teachers, principal and our custodian, Dean) showing up to make Sequoia Elementary sparkle. We weeded, pruned, trimmed, dug (swing that pick, Ms. Gascot!), and swept. We put in new dirt, planted and watered new perennials for the classroom and office landscape. Parents moved and organized the PE equipment in our new Sports hut, and put down walkway pavers. Finally, an assembly line of students and parents put together our new stools for the STEAM Lab. Many thanks to Anne Baker, Republic Services, for our dumpster, the Franke family for the plants and new soil, and our SPA Board for help in organizing (Dee Dee Tully) and all the Board for showing up and making it happen.
