Crayola ColorCycle & The Crayon Initiative at Sequoia

Crayola ColorCycle & The Crayon Initiative At Sequoia

Sequoia Elementary is banding together with Crayola ColorCycle and The Crayon Initiative to help our kids understand the importance of their role in protecting the environment. Through these initiatives, Sequoia students & teachers can recycle their used markers, highlighters, dry-erase markers, and crayons. These initiatives will eliminate placing hundreds of tons of markers & crayons into landfills.

If your family would like to participate, the first collection will be at All-in-One Day on August 13th. The used markers will be shipped to Crayola for recycling. The used crayons will be delivered to The Crayon Initiative in Danville, where they will be recycled into new crayons and distributed to hospitalized children across the US (including 12 hospitals in the Bay Area).  This is a great opportunity for Sequoia to build on our eco-friendly practices.
