Thank You, Community Service Day Volunteers!!

A HUGE “thank you” to all the volunteers who helped beautify our school campus this past Saturday! We weeded, trimmed, replanted, cleared, organized, drilled, cleaned, swept, composted, shoveled, recycled, and more!

In total, over 100 adults and kids volunteered some of their time, including Sequoia families, Scouts, college students, community members, and service groups. It was inspiring to see so many community members working together to make Pleasant Hill and our school specifically a better place, and what a great lesson about “giving back” for our kids!

Special thanks to Ms. Risken (5th grade), Ms. Nixon (Garden program), and Trevor Ward (Sequoia dad and volunteer coordinator) for all they did to make the day a success! Check out some photos from the day here.
