Art Appreciation is a Sequoia Parent Association funded, parent volunteer run art program. Educational and engaging lessons span from prehistoric art (Lascaux cave paintings), renaissance (Leonardo Da Vinci) to modern day artists (Wayne Thiebaud) and everything in between. Parent volunteers are provided with a pre-scripted lesson plan and all materials. One-hour lessons take place once a month, from October to April. No experience needed!
Students will be introduced to 35 artists, historical backgrounds, and techniques during their time at Sequoia! Art Appreciation provides numerous developmental and academic benefits in addition to a unique opportunity for our children to expand their vision of the world. Parent volunteers are always needed to keep the program running!
