Volunteering for the Fair

Help us make our science fair a memorable experience for students and families.  Please read role descriptions below and sign up for one that matches your interest and fits your schedule.  Signing up for more than one role is okay and certainly appreciated.  Your participation will make a big difference.  Sign up at our SignUpGenius volunteer page.  Thank you!

Printing and Stapling (2)
Help print and staple information packs during November and December. Help print Wow certificates and other event day forms and documents during January. This is a 2-6 hour commitment.

Data Entry
Help with data entry after our entry form deadline, Jan. 15, 2015. Work from home referencing scanned student form submissions. This is a 2-4 hour commitment.

Middle School MUR Setup (3)
Event Day: Come early to assist setting up the MURs and guide students as they arrive with their projects. Return at the end of the event to assist in cleaning up (likely will only need one or two volunteers to return). This is 1-2 hour commitment.

Elementary School MUR Setup (3)

Balloons and Food
Event Day: Head to Lucky for balloons and food. Balloons mark the winning projects and are part of the awards presentation and food is for our hard working judges. This is a 1 hour commitment.

K-2 Judge (6)
Event Day: Judges complete Wow cards and work together to identify top projects and to determine award winners. A science/technical background and no student in K-2 is desired. Sequoia parent is not required. This is a 2-3 hour commitment.

3-5 Judge (6)
Event Day: Judges work together to identify top projects and to determine award winners. A science/technical background and someone from industry is desired. Sequoia parent is not required. This is a 2-3.5 hour commitment.
